The secret for the best cowboy potatoes recipe
For me, this Cowboy Potatoes recipe is a special one, because it reminds me of my childhood. Somehow it resembles a recipe for German potato salad without bacon, and my grandmother often prepared it as a side dish next to a meat-based main course.
For example, a crispy Schnitzel would go great with this delicious side dish of grandma’s potato salad recipe.
I prepared it, this time, next to the grilled marinated meat and believe me, it was something absolutely fabulous!
But it is not mandatory to prepare grandma’s potato salad recipe next to another dish, because it can be served as a light but filling main dish.
My secret for getting a delicious grandma’s potato salad recipe is to mix all the ingredients while the potatoes are still warm. In this way, they are crushed a little and practically give this cowboy potatoes salad a bound consistency, without any liquid sauce.
Another secret that my grandmother used, but I omitted it this time, was to mix oil, vinegar, salt and black pepper in a small saucepan, on low heat. Thus, this sauce that will perfect the final taste of cowboy potatoes recipe is a warm one, the goal being the same, to homogenize the whole salad in an extremely pleasant way.
