Healthy fried cheese recipe
Maybe now many will say: How can a pan-fried dish be healthy?
Well, contrary to the information offered to us daily about what is healthy or what is not healthy to eat, I believe that the secret to a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle lies in moderation.
Obviously, I’m not a doctor and I’m not in a position to issue specialized opinions in the nutritional field, but I believe that as long as you don’t overdo it, any food from natural sources can provide you with the necessary nutrients for harmonious development.
Therefore, I believe that if we consume pan-fried meals occasionally, and if we use a high-quality vegetable oil, which we change every time we cook, this cannot harm us.
In this sense, I also recommend you a portion of Pan-fried fish, which is absolutely delicious and cannot be replaced with any other similar meals.
And for those who still prefer a version of fried cheese with less oil, I recommend you to follow the steps of this recipe and prepare air fried cheese sticks. The taste will be the same, and the texture may be slightly different because the crust for air fried cheese sticks may be slightly crispier.
Make-ahead fried cheese tips
As I mentioned in the article dedicated to Food Preservation tips, there are certain dishes that can be prepared in advance and kept in the freezer until the day they are served.
Coated cheese is such a food, and it can be made-ahead, frozen and then fried only on the day of serving.
In addition, keeping the pieces of cheese coated in panko crust in the freezer guarantees that it will not leak in the pan during cooking.
All you have to do is follow the steps for the fried cheese recipe, and after the pieces of cheese have been completely coated with breadcrumbs, store them in freezer bags and freeze them.
You can keep them in the freezer without any problems for a year, and when you crave for a portion of pan-fried cheese, fry them and enjoy them warm.
The secret for the perfect fried cheese recipe
Those who have tried similar fried cheese recipes know that in the case of this dish there is a risk that the cheese will leak during frying, and we definitely donβt want this to happen.
So, to avoid the cheese leaking during cooking, I recommend you keep the pieces with coated cheese in the freezer for at least 2 hours before frying them.
Thus, you will place the frozen pieces of coated cheese in the hot oil or in the air fryer and you will get soft fried cheese on the inside and crispy on the outside, without effort.
I also recommend that you use a grill spatula, preferably two spatulas, when turning the pieces of coated cheese from one side to the other, for cooking. Thus, you avoid the risk of pinching the pieces of coated cheese, which could cause the melted cheese to leak into the cooking dish.
