Introduction
Today I have the great pleasure of presenting you a dessert full of apples, called Invisible Apple Cake. The name comes from the fact that the dough in the composition of this dessert represents such a small amount that it is not visible.
Basically, if you cut a piece of this invisible apple cake, you will only see overlapping layers of apples. But the dough is there, otherwise the apple layers would slip away.
Let’s discover together how you can effortlessly obtain a fabulous apple cake in your own kitchen.
The secret for the best invisible apple cake
Obviously, to make the best invisible apple cake, you will need tasty apples, which represent the main ingredients.

Kid-friendly invisible apple cake recipe
As you might already know, here on the blog, I always try to transform any recipe into one suitable for the whole family.
So, for a kid-friendly apple cake recipe I decided to considerably reduce the amount of sugar in its composition.
Moreover, I used raw sugar, instead of ultra-processed white sugar.
If you want, you can completely give up sugar. You can replace it with honey or stevia powder. This way you will get a dessert that is 100% kid-friendly or suitable for people on a sugar-free diet.
Replacing sugar with honey or stevia powder is a culinary trick that, in the case of this invisible apple cake recipe, allows you to get the same fabulous taste and texture, with NO SUGAR.
I also recommend you try this amazing Apple Tart with Vanilla Custard for a smooth and apple-filled dessert recipe.
Serving and presentation
Because I am greedy and I really like fruit desserts, and especially apples, I don’t have the patience to wait until the cake cools completely.
But my recommendation would be to cut this incredible fruit dessert only after it has cooled completely.
Thus, the risk of the dough breaking due to the large amount of apples is considerably reduced.
Believe me, you will feel an explosion of apple flavor from the first bite. And the flavor will be much more intense if you add cinnamon, as I did.
These apples will practically melt in your mouth. This apple cake is so simple to prepare and delicious at the same time that it will become the star dessert in your family.
If you really want to complement it with a different texture, you can serve it with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream on top.
